Bishop Sightings: That was indeed Bishop Paul Landahl of the Metro Chicago Synod at St. Luke's - Logan Square for the October 21 ordination extra ordinem of Pastor Erik Christensen, Bishop Landahl is the first sitting ELCA Bishop to attend the ordination of an ECP Candidate in his own synod. (Bishop Paul Egertson attended the ordination of Pr. Anita Hill in April, 2001.) Bishop Landahl did not vest and did not join the rest of the clergy in the rite of ordination.
